A few Golf Limericks

Today is a golf day. It has been a while since I have been out on a golf course. I like to go over to a golf course and practice putting and chipping a lot – it is relaxing and free. I occasionally, hit a small bucket. I just haven’t played a round in months. I have no idea what is going to happen out there as far as the golf goes. I do know what is going happen as far as the social activities go – lots of ball busting. I measure a good round more by the number of good jokes than I do good shots.

When I am on the first tee
It’s fun and adventure I see.
The perfect setting
For utzing and betting…
I’m in a state of ecstasy!

utzing – Yiddish for “ball busting”

Golf is a game of grace and class
And when you’re playing well, golf is a gas.
For me, a low score is rare,
But I don’t really care…
I’m still on the right side of the grass!
